It's a work Thing

Bucheron in South Mpls, MN

FRENCH RESTAURANT  -It was time for our quarterly stockholders’ meeting so why not try a new restaurant.  Bucheron opened in 2024 and has a ton of talent behind the front door.   It’s one of 2024’s best new restaurants in the Twin Cities and considered Michelin quality .  It was an amazing Foodie experience.

VERDICT   I shall return!   Bucheron is Lumberjack in French

THE VIBE
Bistronomy ~ Bistro style vibe with a gastronomy  experience.  This is the trending theme for restaurants in France.   Basically it’s amazing food without the black tie stuffiness.     Just a little neighborhood  gem with 5 star ratings.

THE COCKTAILS
Bucheron has a full bar with a variety of craft cocktails and mocktails.   The list of bourbon is decent as well.

Corkage Fee:  $35.00/Limit 2 bottles.
The focus for Bucheron is the food with a handfull of wines to complement the menu.   I made a trip to 50th & France with the menu  to ask the experts to suggest a bottle or two.  The winner – Chateau Marquis D’Alesme Margaux 2020

The Menu
The presentation of each dish is  Michelin style fancy.

Bone Marrow was one of the tables favorite and the 2nd round led to bone becoming “The Luge” for us to drink our glass of Maderia.

Petit Plateau – Seafood Plater was beautiful and the crudo was a delight.  We were able to add a few extra oysters to accomodate our group.

Butternut Squash Agnolotti – I’m not a huge fan of squash but this pasta was outstanding.

Foie Gras Terrine – Of course this was great. The scone and rasberry jam was a nice addition.

Cookies & Cream – What a masterpiece this dessert was.
